Conceito 'Legitimo' Douro Tinto 13.5% 75cl

The Legitimo is a typical blend of Douro red grape varieties, but made in an old-fashion way and style. It has been made with minimal intervention and in a lighter style than might be expected for modern Douro. The grapes are at higher altitude at Conceito, and harvested early to ensure acidity. Natural fermentation of whole bunches, in stainless steel, has been used for a light extraction, and fruit focus. Deep in colour, juicy-fruited, a bit of grippy tannin, and great freshness. All this makes for a great foody wine. Recognisable as Douro, but light!
