Calma Indomita Albarin 13.5% 75cl

You'd be forgiven for mistaking this for an Albariño, but you may be surprised to learn that Albarin grapes are not even closely related! The Albarin grape was once on the verge of extinction. It hails from the northern tip of the Iberian Peninsula but has been in northern Castilla y León for generations and is thriving there. 

The 2023 vintage won 'BEST VALUE WHITE WINE OF THE YEAR 2025' in The Wine Merchant Top 100 Competition.

This wine is somewhat akin to a dry Riesling in style, with a lot of body and texture, and profound underlying grapefruit, citrus character. You can find subtle tropical notes of melon and guava, floral jasmine, but it is fundamentally dry, lean and fantastic with food. In particular, consider serving with white meats and fish.
