Collection: Big Stone Beer (Chinley)
Big Stone brewery had an unusual start; they officially launched on Saturday 14 March 2020 but just over a week later the Covid 19 Lockdown was announced, meaning they had to adjust quickly in what should have been a joyous time.
The founder of Big Stone is Adrian Porteous, someone who has always been a keen home brewer, enjoying both the craft of brewing and the taste of a good bottle conditioned beer. He decided to convert the old stone building in 2019 in Chinley after years of toying with idea of starting a brewery, and Big Stone was born by the end of the year.
Big Stone is still expanding its range with both seasonal beers using local produce and a number of other regular beers, including Rough Rock, a collaboration Best Bitter with The Old Hall Inn.
