Thornbridge 'Love Amongst The Ruins' Sour Red 7% 375ml

Love Among The Ruins is a true labour of love, a sour red ale aged in burgundy barrels with cherries.

After using a Belgian yeast strain, we aged the beer in Burgundy barrels with the fruit for well over a year. Adding cultures of Brettanomyces, Pediococcus and Lactobacillus at set points let us sour the beer gradually over many months and give layers of flavour that can only develop over time.

The rich fruit aroma and flavours compliment the sharp sourness which subsides for more malt and yeast characters to come through.

Lively, dry and thirst quenching, this is a beer to savour.
