Torrside Monsters Lab: Eliza Smith's 8% 330ml

This historical rosemary ale belongs to Torrside’s ‘Monsters Lab’ series – an occasional series of experimental, small-run brews. ‘Eliza Smith’s’ began as a collaboration for Indie Beer Feast 2024 between Torrside Brewery, Dr Christine Wade (aka Braciatrix) and Sheffield’s Hop Hideout. The recipe for this strong golden ale was adapted from one written in 1727 by the eponymous Eliza Smith, unearthed in Dr Wade’s research into women and beer. A touch of green, herbal rosemary balanced with bright citrus and a dry, refreshing finish.
